Healing Retreat

About This Event

Description

The Wishing Well is a weekend healing retreat at Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health in Stockbridge, Massachusetts, led by Shauna Cummins. Built around her WishCraft method, it is a manifestation retreat that treats wishing as a gentle, receptive and shared practice rather than a form of striving. It suits anyone drawn to self-hypnosis, meditation and quiet, communal intention-setting, with no experience required.

What to Expect

The weekend moves between teaching, stillness and shared ritual. Shauna Cummins guides you through WishCraft self-hypnosis, a way of reaching a calm, focused state in which the mind becomes receptive to supportive imagery and intention. Guided meditation and imagination work follow, deepening your awareness of sensation, intuition and inner imagery as pathways to insight and healing.

At the center of the retreat is the Community Wishing Well, a non-denominational, inclusive ritual space where personal, communal and global intentions are held with care. Embodied reflection and journaling, with gentle writing and contemplative prompts, help you take in what arises. There is also unhurried time for rest, nervous system regulation and quiet presence.

On Saturday evening, the hypnotic sound trio GIVNG leads a meditative sound journey that weaves sound healing, hypnosis and electronic music into one immersive experience, meant to soothe the nervous system and open space for rest, imagination and inner connection.

The program runs from a Thursday arrival to a Sunday departure. Check-in begins at 2:00 pm on opening day, with yoga from 4:45 to 6:00, dinner, and a program session from 7:30 to 9:00 pm. Full days begin with Kripalu Yoga from 6:30 to 7:45 am and a silent breakfast, then program sessions from 9:30 to 12:00 and 1:30 to 4:00, with lunch between, and an evening session after dinner. On closing day, a morning yoga class and silent breakfast lead into a final session from 9:30 to 11:30, then lunch and departure. Times may vary, and the schedule given at check-in has the details and room locations.

About Shauna Cummins

Shauna Cummins is the creator of the WishCraft method and the presenter of this retreat. She brings self-hypnosis, meditation and shared ritual together in a practice that frames manifestation as presence, connection and hope. She is also one of the three creators of GIVNG, alongside Boshko Boskovic and Stephen Penta. Together they make restorative sound experiences that combine sound healing, hypnosis and electronic music.

The Setting

Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health sits in Stockbridge, in the Berkshires of western Massachusetts. Its accommodations are intentionally simple, meant to help you unplug and feel grounded. You can choose a private room for solitude, a shared room for connection, or a dorm room. Rooms are ready by 4:00 pm, and a luggage room is available if you arrive earlier. Three nutritious meals are served daily, and dietary options are available on request. Breakfasts are silent.

Before You Go

The retreat welcomes everyone regardless of spiritual background, meditation experience or belief system. No prior knowledge of meditation, manifestation or yoga is needed. It is taught in English.

Your stay includes accommodation, three meals a day, more than ten yoga classes over the weekend, the WishCraft sessions, the Community Wishing Well rituals, the journaling and reflection prompts, the Saturday evening GIVNG sound experience, and access to the Kripalu grounds and facilities. Healing Arts sessions and purchases from the Kripalu Shop and Cafe are extra.

Check-out is at 10:00 am on the final day, but you may stay on campus and take part in workshops until 2:00 pm.
