Healing Retreat
Description
We Are the Luckiest: The Livestream Experience is an online healing retreat streamed live from the Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health in Stockbridge, Massachusetts. Led by bestselling author Laura McKowen, it is a weekend of honest conversation, connection, and inspiration for anyone who has stopped drinking, is questioning their relationship with alcohol, or is simply curious about what a sober life might hold.
Sobriety can be the greatest gift you never asked for. It can also be lonely, confusing, and hard to do alone. This sober and sober curious retreat offers a community of people who have walked the walk, and you can take part from your own home.
What to Expect
Across the weekend, Laura McKowen and Eric Johnson, CEO of The Luckiest Club, offer talks, workshops, and movement sessions. Together you explore:
- What it really means to be one of the luckiest
- The tools and practices that sustain a sober life through all its seasons
- How to build and lean on community as a genuine source of strength
- The unexpected joys, freedoms, and revelations that sobriety makes possible
- A renewed sense of purpose, connection, and possibility for the road ahead
The program opens on Friday evening with a session from 7:30 to 9:00 pm EST. Saturday is a full program day, with a morning session from 9:00 to 11:30 am and an afternoon session from 1:30 to 4:00 pm. The retreat closes on Sunday with a session from 9:00 to 11:00 am.
Whether you are newly sober, years into your path, or only wondering whether alcohol is getting in your way, you are welcome here.

The Setting
The program is streamed live from the Kripalu campus in Stockbridge, so you are connecting to a retreat held at Kripalu rather than traveling there. Kripalu delivers the livestream through a third-party platform, and you create an account there to complete your purchase and receive details on how to join. Kripalu's online programs team provides basic tech support by email before and during programs, and it is best to test Zoom ahead of time.
Before You Go
This program is designed for people who are sober or sober curious, and it is open to participants 18 and older. No movement experience is required, and no prior experience with meditation or recovery work is needed. Please bring a journal and pen. The program is offered in English, and all levels are welcome.
You will need a stable internet connection, Zoom access, and a space where you can take part comfortably.
Included are the live talks and workshops with Laura McKowen and Eric Johnson, the movement sessions, and recordings of each session, which arrive within 72 hours of the session ending. You can watch the recordings for 30 days after the program ends. Meals and accommodation are not part of the livestream, and all sales are final.
