説明
This one-hour online vinyasa yoga workshop, Finding Steadiness and Joy in Your Vinyasa, is led by Natasha Rizopoulos through Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health in Stockbridge, Massachusetts. It is open to practitioners of every level who want to understand how a vinyasa is built, so that it feels stable, spacious, and sustainable rather than repetitive and heavy.
"Take a vinyasa" is a phrase heard in many yoga traditions, yet it can leave students unsure what to actually do. Repeating the sequence without clear understanding can lead to achy joints and a sense that gravity has won. This class offers a way through that, and it suits anyone who wants to practice with more ease and intelligence.
What to Expect
The class meets live on Zoom in the evening, from 6:00 to 7:00 pm Eastern time, and lasts one hour. Natasha shares the practices and strategies she has developed over the years to teach the essential elements of vinyasa.
You will look at the fundamental actions and intentions that inform each pose, and learn how those principles shape the flow between them. Modifications are a central part of the hour. The aim is to adapt poses in a way that reflects your current reality while still offering a path forward as you build strength and openness. There is also time to interact with the teacher and ask questions.
About Natasha Rizopoulos
Natasha Rizopoulos is the presenter of this workshop. She has spent years developing teaching methods for the essential elements of vinyasa, and this class draws on those methods to help students practice with stability and joy.
The Setting
The workshop is offered online through Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health, a yoga and wellness center in Stockbridge, in the Berkshires region of Massachusetts. Because the class takes place on Zoom, you can join from wherever you practice. Nothing is held on campus.
Before You Go
This class is open to all levels, and it is taught in English. It is part of the Kripalu Online Studio subscription, so you need to be a monthly or annual subscriber to register. Subscribers have access to more than 75 live classes each month and a replay library of over 5,000 classes.
Your registration includes:
- The one-hour live class on Zoom
- A chance to interact with the teacher
- A video recording, available for 30 days after the program ends and typically posted within 72 hours of the session
Recordings are not available beyond those 30 days. Props and equipment are not provided, though a mat, props, or a chair can be helpful, and none are required. You will need a stable internet connection, Zoom access, and enough space to practice. Kripalu's online programs team offers basic tech support by email before and during programs, and it is wise to test Zoom ahead of time.
